"Where a little dream can turn into a big reality"

PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Welcome to Season 2008.

The St Damians JFC welcomes all players, families and all new members.

The Saints had a very successful year in 2007 both on the field, with 2 Premierships and 7 teams playing in finals, and off the field in growth of registered players and families.

We look forward to having in excess of 300 players in 2008 with multiple teams in several age groups. The Club is committed to fostering a family friendly environment and developing all players' football and personal skills.

The Saints is a great Club for players to bond with their mates and for both children and parents to forge new friendships.

In 2007 we had a number of players selected in the Northern Knights Development Squads and also in the Yarra Junior Football League Representative Teams.

All Coaches and Trainers are accredited and have also been screened through the Working With Children Police Check Program. This ensures that we have the best quality people working with our children.

This year the Club is looking forward to another successful year both on and off the field as we celebrate our 30th Anniversary.

Thankyou for choosing to be at St Damians JFC in 2008 and beyond. Come along and enjoy being a part of a great Club where every child is a 'Champion'.

GO THE SAINTS!
Shaun Mills
President - St Damians JFC - 2008

ABOUT ST DAMIANS

The St Damian's junior football club was established in 1979 as a non-denominational football club. Its main emphasis is to provide a supportive and social family environment and a facility to play junior football, in which footballers can acquire athletic skill and develop sportsmanship. St Damian's is a family club which caters for players both boys and girls. In 2007 St Damian's fielded 12 teams in the Yarra Junior Football League (www.yarrajfl.org.au), from the Under 9's (Tackers), through to the Under 17s, (Colts). All matches are played on a Sunday starting mid April going through until the end of August for finals.

ST DAMIANS A QUALITY CLUB

The St Damians Junior Football Club has been accredited by Football Victoria as a Quality Club. The club is well administered and has been recognised for providing an environment in which young footballers can be developed and play in the right atmosphere. At St Damians all coaches are accredited by Football Victoria. All players receive a participation trophy at the end of the season and get to play at least three quarters of football regardless of their ability. To this end St Damians is about participation, we believe that winning isn't everything but trying to win is.
