Beware the Saints in 2010

PRESIDENTS MESSAGE

Welcome to Season 2010.

A big thankyou to the committee of 2009 for all their hard work over the season.

The St Damians Junior Football Club welcomes all new players, families, sponsors and new members.

St Damians JFC had a great year in 2009 with 14 teams which included our Youth Girls team for the second year.

The committee of 2010 is committed 100% to make sure that everything that happens in the club benefits the children at all times. At St Damians JFC we are committed to developing each child's football skills and personal life experiences with their mates at the club. At St Damians we encourage parent participation with the team that their child plays in; many friendships in the club have happened from this.

All Coaches, Trainers, Committee members have been screened through the 'Working with Children' police check to ensure that we have quality people working with our children.

The 2010 Season at St Damians JFC is looking forward to another successful year on and off the field with a variety of social events and happy times.

Please feel free to speak to me or any member of the committee at any time as we are all very friendly and approachable.

Come along and join a great club in a safe environment where children can live their dreams!

Mark Burkhalter
President St Damians Junior Football Club - 2010

ABOUT ST DAMIANS

The St Damians junior football club was established in 1979 as a non-denominational football club. Its main emphasis is to provide a supportive and social family environment and a facility to play junior football, in which footballers can acquire athletic skill and develop sportsmanship. St Damians is a family club which caters for players both boys and girls. In 2008 St Damians fielded 13 teams in the Yarra Junior Football League (www.yarrajfl.org.au), from the Under 9's (Tackers), through to the Under 17s, (Colts). The Club also fielded its first all girls team competing in the Youth Girls competition.

ST DAMIANS A QUALITY CLUB

The St Damians Junior Football Club has been accredited by AFL Victoria as a Quality Club. The club is well administered and has been recognised for providing an environment in which young footballers can be developed and play in the right atmosphere. At St Damians all coaches are accredited by AFL Victoria. All players receive a participation trophy at the end of the season and get to play at least three quarters of football regardless of their ability. To this end St Damians is about participation, we believe that winning isn't everything but trying to win is.
