2008 - The Season That Was ...

What an unbelievable season we have had as we celebrated the Club's 30th Anniversary:

The club has grown over the past 12 months with a record 355 registered players and 14 teams.

The season where we notched up our 39th and 40th premiership wins.
Congratulations to Under 12G and Under 13.

To all our teams that competed so gallantly for the whole year. Well done!!!

The season where we commenced our Youth Girls team and created history in the Northern Region as one of the inaugural clubs in the competition.

A season where we had 100 new players and their families come to the Club.

A season where we celebrated our 30th Anniversary and celebrated our history and our Life Members.

A season where we provided football clinics to 1,800 local school children.

A season where all our volunteer Coaches, Team Managers, Trainers and Committee led the way in the community by having voluntary Working With Children checks.

A season where we achieved Silver and Bronze accreditation from the AFL Quality Clubs Program.

A season where our first combined Under 19's St Damians/Old Paradians team took to the field.

The season when our club was awarded "The Best Conducted Team in 2008" for the
Northern District at the Youth Girls AFL Awards Night.

Thank you to all our players and families for being part of this great Club.

Thank you to all our Coaches, Team Managers, Volunteers and of course, our Committee, who gave up their time so that our children can enjoy football acquiring both football skills and life skills along the way.

On behalf of the entire Club I thank you all,

Shaun Mills - President 2008
